Chat Available Sunday Sept. 11

Because of Summer Quarter Finals week, a special Chat Reference session will be available on Sunday September 11, from 1:00pm-9:00pm EDT.  Chat will also be available M-Th 8:00am-8:30pm and on Fri 8:30am-6:30pm.
Stop by for help as you finish out the quarter.

Labor Day: LRC Chat Unavailable

Live Chat Reference will be unavailable on Monday September 5 in observation of Labor Day.  The virtual LRC resources such as databases, Q&A, and catalog will still be available.  Email Harrison.librarian@harrison.edu with questions.

LRC Book Drive!

Did you know September is National Literacy Month??

The Learning Resource Center system will be holding a book drive throughout the months of September and October to support National Literacy Month. All LRCs will be accepting donations of gently used adult and children’s books.  Following the book drive, general donations will be made to The Julian Center and Operation Paperback.  Some LRC’s will also be making donations to local charities in their area.  For specific information on where your donations are going, please see the information below and speak with your campus librarian.  We hope you will join us in supporting National Literacy Month!

The Julian Center is an Indianapolis, IN facility that provides support and services to victims of domestic violence. Visit www.juliancenter.org for more information!

Operation Paperback is a non-profit organization that sends gently used paperbacks to American troops deployed overseas. Visit www.operationpaperback.org for more information!

The Anderson LRC is joining forces with the Anderson Harrison Service Program to collect books for three charities:

·         Adult Literacy Book-Nook

·         Support the Troops

·         Children’s books for the Back Pack Attack program.

In Lafayette any kids and young adult books that are collected in the LRC will be donated to the Tippecanoe County Boys and Girl’s club.

The Ft. Wayne LRC will be partnering with their Criminal Justice student organization to gather donations.

East LRC Closed Friday, August 5th

Indianapolis East Campus LRC will be closed all day Friday, August 5th.  We will reopen 7:30 am Monday.

Indianapolis Downtown: Summer Friday Hours

The Indianapolis Downtown LRC will be open shortened hours on FRIDAYS the remainder of the Summer Quarter (June 27 - September 17):

Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 9:00pm
FRIDAY 8:00am - 3:00pm
Saturday 8:30am - 1:00pm

We will resume normal Friday hours (8-4) starting fall quarter.
The LRC will be closed Friday, August 5th.
